Semiconductor lighting technology is one of the most promising high-tech in the 21st century, and LED is the core of semiconductor lighting technology. Packaging material is the key component of LED, and its performance has an important impact on LED. With its excellent thermal stability, aging resistance, mechanical properties, moisture resistance and light transmittance, silicone materials have become the research focus of LED packaging materials at home and abroad.
At present, there is still a gap between China and other countries in the research and application of silicone materials for high refractive index LED packaging. It is of great significance to strengthen the basic theoretical research, improve the production raw materials and optimize the production process for the development of silicone materials for high refractive index LED packaging in China.
MDT vinyl methylphenyl silicone resin without hydroxyl group and with good comprehensive properties was synthesized by two steps of CO hydrolysis condensation and hydroxyl elimination with phenyltrimethoxysilane, methylphenyldimethoxysilane, vinyl double head (Mmvi) and hexamethyldisiloxane as raw materials. In this paper, hydroxy methyl phenyl siloxane intermediates were synthesized by CO hydrolysis and condensation from trimethoxysilane, hydroxy terminated methyl phenyl siloxane oligomer intermediates and 1,1,3,3 - Tetramethyldisiloxane
(MMH/TMDSO) as raw materials, MDT hydromethyl phenyl silicone resin with good comprehensive properties and no hydroxyl group was synthesized.
