No in\u00edcio da d\u00e9cada de 1950, uma empresa americana descobriu que <\/span><\/span><b><span style=\"font-size:12.0000pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri\"><span style=\"font-weight:bold\">o polissiloxano contendo hidrog\u00eanio e liga\u00e7\u00f5es Si-H<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-size:12.0000pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri\">&nbsp;tratava tecidos com bom efeito impermeabilizante e boa permeabilidade ao ar, mas o toque era ruim e o filme de silicone era duro, quebradi\u00e7o e f\u00e1cil de descamar. Usado em conjunto com <\/span><\/span><b><span style=\"font-size:12.0000pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri\"><span style=\"font-weight:bold\">polidimetilsiloxano (PDMS)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b><span style=\"font-size:12.0000pt\"><span style=\"font-family:Calibri\">, proporciona n\u00e3o apenas um bom efeito impermeabilizante, mas tamb\u00e9m um toque macio.
